There is something about spring. Emerging from the cold and grey winter days, spring is a renewal. There is a welcomed atmosphere to it.

The winter is my rest period. It’s where I am able to catch my breath. It’s where I focus more on photography education and honing in deeper to my creative voice. It’s the season where I become more aligned with my self. And I start to get that itch to start creating.

Spring is my favourite time to photograph families in Kelowna. Yes, spring. Not fall. Even though fall is my favourite season in general, there is something special about spring sessions. So, why spring? As I mentioned above, winter is my slow season so I’m fully recharged and ready to start taking sessions again in the spring. My creativity is overflowing and bursting at the seams. I’ve just spent months learning more about my style, my voice and my why and I am ready to start shooting.

EARLIER START TIMES.

If you're wanting my OG golden hour sessions, but don’t want a super late start time, then early spring is the perfect time to book in. The sunsets earlier, and I just may like a spring sunset more than any other sunset.

IDEAL WEATHER.

It gets HOT, HOT here in the summer and early fall. Spring is the perfect time to take advantage of the warm weather while not overheating and sweating.

ENDLESS STYLING OPTIONS.

With warm weather comes cute clothes! And since it’s still mild and cooler in the evenings, you can still add photo perfect layers to your styling. And layers make for more visual interest in photos.
