KELOWNA MATERNITY SESSION CAPTURED AT HOME, ON 35MM FILM

I sound like a broken record when it comes to shooting film, but I need people to understand just how freeing and magical capturing sessions on film is.

For this maternity session, we decided to stay in and capture a typical afternoon for them. We scheduled their session around their toddlers nap time which was perfect for the afternoon light they get in their kitchen. We started in their living room, reading books and playing with toys. We moved to the kitchen for a snack because the light was absolutely perfect! And when shooting film, you want to be sure there is ample amounts of light. The toddler was engaged and having fun, which I believe happens more when they are in a location they are comfortable in. And what’s more comforting than home.
